El síndico Peralta fue conducido ante el magistrado por una unidad de la Policía que lo detuvo frente a las instalaciones de Multimedios El Caribe, tras participar en un programa de radio.
“Me apresaron, pero no me maltrataron”, aseguró el funcionario municipal, a su salida de la Procuraduría de Medio Ambiente.La “conducencia” de Peralta ante las autoridades fue dispuesta por el secretario de Medido Ambiente, Jaime David Fernández Mirabal, según confirmó el procurador Chalas.
El alcalde bloqueó la vía el martes, al lanzar varios camiones de basura, en protesta porque no le fueron entregados a su municipio unos terrenos en poder de la empresa Cítricos Dominicanos, para disponer de ellos como vertedero.Peralta es un ex dirigente reformista incorporado a las filas del PLD, siendo esta su segunda gestión al frente de la sindicatura de Villa Altagracia.
